Key events:
EasterApril 2025
This Easter, 1,700 Easter eggs were delivered to over 230 customers and multiple local community groups. We were able to support:
• Cre8 • Weston Community Hub • Hope Central • Cheshire Without Abuse • Silklife Foodbank • The Welcome • Artspace Macclesfield
We would have loved to deliver a treat to all our customers across our 5,000 homes; however, it takes weeks of planning just to make sure we can get to 200 customers!
Christmas2024
In December 2024, staff from across the Trust headed out into our communities to spread some festive spirit and drop off gifts.
Staff packed goodies for some of our customers – chocolate, children’s books, and a couple other seasonal treats. We really hope this brought a smile to our customers’ faces.
We would have loved to do this for all 5,000 of our customer’s homes – but we made it to those homes where staff thought the customer could do with a little pick me up.
All donations came from our generous suppliers and contractors. A huge thank you to the companies below for helping us make this day possible.
• Zurich • WP Murphy • UPS Building and Maintenance • TF Jones • Sure Maintenance • Savills • Ridley Thaw • Premier Brickwork • PLP Construction • Phoenix • Msb • Moled Over pest control • MOD Environmental • Macclesfield Tree Care • JFN Integrated Solutions • Jewson Partnership Solutions • Gibbs Laidler • Frank Rogers • Equans • Environmental Essentials • Dodd Group • Clarke Wilmott • Arcus Consulting • Anthony Collings • Aib
Chapel Courtclean up
Staff from across the Trust spent time working with Equans to clean up the gardens of Chapel Court, Wilmslow.
Equans has been working on improving the wellbeing of the residents and the outdoor spaces in areas around Knutsford, Poynton and Wilmslow, as part of their social value initiatives.
Last year, at Chapel Court, Equans volunteers tidied gardens, planted bulbs, painted benches, and removed debris to create a more welcoming outdoor area for the community. They also refreshed Pepper Court by clearing leaves, pruning brushes, and removing weeds from pathways.
Peaks & Plains staff joined to support the initiative.
Moss Roseclean up
Last summer, we spent a day cleaning up, alongside E.on Energy and Bill & Ben Skip Hire.
In July 2024, staff from across the Trust headed out to Moss Rose. Armed with litter pickers, bin bags and an enthusiasm for all things rubbish, we got to work.
From 10am to 3pm, we picked up litter, manned the skips and said hi to some of our customers who were out and about.
We had 11 skips in total and helped 25 people bin their rubbish!
A big thank you to Bill & Ben Skip Hire and E.on Energy for supporting us with our clean-up, and for making it such a success!
We were also joined by local councillors Fiona Wilson and Brian Puddicombe.
Conservatory atHarry Lawson Court
It's open! Harry Lawson Court's new and improved conservatory.
The conservatory at Harry Lawson Court is communal hub for our customers, where they can sit, chat and relax together.
This conservatory was off limits to residents for quite a while, starting with a tricky leak that led us to contract Frank Rogers for a complete refurbishment of the area. Now, the conservatory is back up and running, better than ever.
As part of Frank Roger’s commitment to social value (doing good for the community), they also installed new vinyl new flooring and redecorated the conservatory to give our customers a clean, modern space to meet up with family and friends.
The Trust also arranged for the armchairs and carpet to be cleaned – for a brighter, fresher feeling.
We’ve also put a call warden system in place, which is a telephone system where our customers living at Harry Lawson Court can always get urgent support, as well as a new fire alarm system.
Residents were over the moon with the improvements.
Our other community activities:

We went along to some of our partners and local community group fun days and events:
• MaccPride Picnic in the Park
• MaccPride parade
• Hurdsfest
• Hope Central Fun Day
• Ageing Well Roadshow

We understand that space is important to put on community events and support services – that’s why we offer several community groups premises at a peppercorn rent. This just means that it costs a lot less than market rental. These include:
- Weston Community Hub
- The Green in the Corner
- ROAR (Reach Out and Recover)
- Chelford Hub
- Cre8 – Mayfield Centre
- MyCWA
